I was impressed with his knowledge of the industry as he was able to easily navigate what appeared to be a maze of codes, rules, ordinances, and regulations to me. It was his understanding of people’s hearts that finally helped me understand I could continue working on my vision but this time for someone else that may see in it what I saw.
When I purchased my property back in 2001, I knew it was unique. I had envisioned fruit trees, guest house, Rv hook ups- A modern day homestead to keep in my family forever. I called it Somerset and I began working on my vision including a special Persimmon tree planted in honor of Grandpa Tom. Over the years between a growing family and military deployments; goals changed and I knew what was best for my family was to sell the home. But selling this home was like selling my dreams, like selling a little part of me. My wife and I began talking to Nick about our plans to renovate and sell. Through the renovations he was always conscious of staying within our budget despite the unexpected findings in renovating an older home. Every step of the way he explained the costs in detail making sure it was value we were investing. Value that at the end of the day would be obvious to anyone that someone cared about this home. Ultimately, we listed on a Friday, Nick and his Team had Cider and Pie Open House over the weekend, and we had several offers by Mon. One of the offers really stood out because it had a letter attached from a young family (much like my own when I purchased the homestead). I know they will take very good care of Grandpa Tom, and the rest of Somerset!

Four years later we still pinch ourselves saying “how did we get into such and amazing place?”. I can’t imagine buying another home without Nick and his team.
We started considering buying a house with very little money, lots of preferences, and a very linear view of what was available. Nick began with showing us all the possibilities available to work into the home we were hoping to land. We strategized and looked together until deciding to make an offer. Our hopes were high and then quickly dashed when a cash buyer came and trumped our offer. After a few deals falling through we then saw the value of having a seasoned real estate specialist by our side. Nick was encouraging and relentless in fighting for us. He took a personal approach with our family helping us to continue the search. We found a house which couldn’t be more perfect for us and we thought “there is no way we get this house”. Nick stood in the gap and negotiated an incredible deal where both parties were happy with the result. Four years later we still pinch ourselves saying “how did we get into such and amazing place?”. I can’t imagine buying another home without
Nick and his team.
He was able to find a buyer that I knew would be respectful to the property, and appreciate it just as much as I did. Thanks a million, Nick.
I’d like to start out by stating that Nick and I have been long-term colleagues for quite some time now, not out of duty, but out of choice. There was no question about who I was going to turn to when it became time to sell the house I had spent the last 4 years in. Living in an area such as Ramona is not, as I would put it, a “happening” place in San Diego which means it probably wouldn’t be an easy place to sell a house in. But Nick surprised me with his speed. He has many connections and therefore, was able to get the word out about my house in a time-friendly manner while selling it at a price I was content with. He was able to find a buyer that I knew would be respectful to the property, and appreciate it just as much as I did. Thanks a million, Nick.
We could not be happier with the results and Nick's positive guidance along the way
Efficient, honest, and a true expert. Nick was quick to find the best properties for the best price and was very clear and open regarding the buying process throughout my wife and I’s time searching for our first home together. One thing that really made Nick stand out from the rest was his ability to really listen to our home vision, and make it our reality. We could not be happier with the results and Nick's positive guidance along the way. I look forward to recommending him to family and friends. Thank you Nick for your efforts.
A man of Nick's integrity in caring for the individual is a rare and valuable attribute seldom found in a competitive business world.
Cost was very important for me as a widow on a fixed income in planning for a renovation on my home. I was insecure with my limited knowledge of what would be appropriate and appealing for upgrading my property. However, I had the good fortune to enlist the help of Mr. Fennel, and so grateful for his wealth of experience of what changes/additions would increase value, his eye for quality, sensitivity to budget, and especially his time and attention for my personal taste. The completed project far exceeded what I had hoped for, or expected. The extensive and beautiful remodel was half the cost of other bids, and included additional upgrades. I couldn’t be more pleased or more appreciative of the cooperative, thorough and thoughtful time spent to be certain I was pleased. The personal care provided for my peace of mind as Nick contributed professional advice each step of the way. He would go out of his way to research and locate building materials, cabinets, and accessories that enhanced appearances and provided optimum efficiency with attention to cost. I also know of other clients and their experience in working with Nick. Nick suggested options that would be of financial benefit for the client while giving it the most updated look for the most profit if I decided to sell. A man of Nick's integrity in caring for the individual is a rare and valuable attribute seldom found in a competitive business world.
